About

Painless Management helps managers, staff and leaders developer better, stronger relationships at work.

This is achieved, on this site, by providing ideas and concepts around structures to follow at work.

Structure provides a foundation for people to be sure and secure in how things should be done at all levels.

If all levels of a business know the structure and process, there will be more harmony in the workplace, more accountability and more profit … with less pain.

Being a manager is a challenging role these days.

You have to be a technical expert AND you need to be a competent manager of people to achieve organisational goals.

  • If you are new to managing do you often feel a little under-skilled to perform the tasks assigned to you when it comes to managing people?
  • Do you feel there is never enough time in the day to manage your team as effectively as you’d like?
  • Do you feel like the efforts you do put in fall short of the mark because you have other things on your mind?
  • Do you wonder what your team thinks about your style and effectiveness?
  • Do you want to be a good to great manager of people?

I’ve been managing people and training managers for over 20 years and I know how you feel. The day can seem like a blur and the in-tray keeps getting higher.

I know what it’s like to commit to being a good manager/leader of people only to be diverted by emergencies and distractions at work.

I also know the times when my team comes to me for assistance and I have to delay, when what I really want to do is give them 5 minutes (at least) of focused time.

So let’s explore how to be a better manager of people and reduce the pain, make it more enjoyable not only for you but also for your team.
